We derive a linearization theorem in the framework of dynamic equations on time scales. This extends a recent result from [Y. Xia, J. Cao, M. Han, A new analytical method for the linearization of dynamic equation on measure chains, J. Differential Equations 235 (2007) 527-543] in various directions: Firstly, in our setting the linear part need not to be hyperbolic and due to the existence of a center manifold this leads to a generalized global Hartman-Grobman theorem for nonautonomous problems. Secondly, we investigate the behavior of the topological conjugacy under parameter variation.These perturbation results are tailor-made for future applications in analytical discretization theory, i.e., to study the relationship between ODEs and numerical schemes applied to them.  相似文献

We show that the generalized Riemann hypothesis implies that there are infinitely many consecutive zeros of the zeta function whose spacing is three times larger than the average spacing. The notion of a formally smooth bimodule is introduced and its basic properties are analyzed. In particular it is proven that a B-A bimodule M which is a generator left B-module is formally smooth if and only if the M-Hochschild dimension of B is at most one. In this paper tests are derived for testing neighborhood hypotheses for the one- and multi-sample problem for functional data. Our methodology is used to generalize testing in projective shape analysis, which has traditionally involving data consisting of finite number of points, to the functional case. The one-sample test is applied to the problem of scene identification, in the context of the projective shape of a planar curve.  相似文献

We give a sufficient condition for admissibility of generalized Bayes estimators of the location vector of spherically symmetric distribution under squared error loss. Compared to the known results for the multivariate normal case, our sufficient condition is very tight and is close to being a necessary condition. In particular, we establish the admissibility of generalized Bayes estimators with respect to the harmonic prior and priors with slightly heavier tail than the harmonic prior. We use the theory of regularly varying functions to construct a sequence of smooth proper priors approaching an improper prior fast enough for establishing the admissibility. We also discuss conditions of minimaxity of the generalized Bayes estimator with respect to the harmonic prior.  相似文献

We consider a system formulation for Sturm–Liouville operators with formally self-adjoint boundary conditions on a graph. An M-matrix associated with the boundary value problem is defined and related to the matrix Prüfer angle associated with the system boundary value problem, and consequently with the boundary value problem on the graph. Asymptotics for the M-matrix are obtained as the eigenparameter tends to negative infinity. We show that the boundary conditions may be recovered, up to a unitary equivalence, from the M-matrix and that the M-matrix is a Herglotz function. This is the first in a series of papers devoted to the reconstruction of the Sturm–Liouville problem on a graph from its M-matrix.  相似文献

We construct spectral triples and, in particular, Dirac operators, for the algebra of continuous functions on certain compact metric spaces. The triples are countable sums of triples where each summand is based on a curve in the space. Several fractals, like a finitely summable infinite tree and the Sierpinski gasket, fit naturally within our framework. In these cases, we show that our spectral triples do describe the geodesic distance and the Minkowski dimension as well as, more generally, the complex fractal dimensions of the space. Furthermore, in the case of the Sierpinski gasket, the associated Dixmier-type trace coincides with the normalized Hausdorff measure of dimension log3/log2.  相似文献

The paper is focused on intimate connection between geometric properties of intersection bodies in convex geometry and generalized cosine transforms in harmonic analysis. A new concept of λ-intersection body, that unifies some known classes of geometric objects, is introduced. A parallel between trace theorems in function theory, restriction onto lower-dimensional subspaces of the spherical Radon transforms and the generalized cosine transforms, and sections of λ-intersection bodies is established. New integral formulas for different classes of cosine transforms are obtained and examples of λ-intersection bodies are given. We also revisit some known facts in this area and give them new simple proofs.  相似文献
